With the responsibility of a mailserver, a intranet site, and some virtual pc’s for remote vpn access, backups have become more difficult without downtime. And the mailserver is getting more demanding.
Why not put it all in a cloud with enough cheap nodes for redundancy is backup then relevant?
I know there is more to it, but its an interesting thought.
Its not that hard making a private cloud, its not necessary to use Amazon or another cloud provider.
All it takes are some cheap VT threading servers.
I haven’t figured out what would happen if the controller server crash, and how easily it could be stored?
If anyone out there have some inputs for a Cloud project, you’re welcome to comment.
